BREWING INSTRUCTIONS AND TIPS
In a pot (traditional method): add 1 tbsp to 1 cup of cold milk of choice and whisk. Heat to just before boiling temperature as the milk starts to bubble. Sweeten to taste and whisk before serving. No need to strain out the spices, they sill settle in the pot and/or cups.
For caffeine: add a splash of coffee to make this a mocha.
We like it with: zero sugar oat milk, and 1 tbsp honey per cup. We use our blender to give it a foamy latte finish.
INGREDIENTS
Made of premium finely ground spices: raw cacao, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, pepper, coriander, cloves.
Dietary considerations: free of sugar, dairy, gluten and is vegan & raw. Note that cacao contains small amounts of caffeine. Our suppliers are certified organic and in some cases certified fair trade.

PACKAGING
We offer two kinds of packaging.
Glass is our original premium packaging, chosen for keeping spices fresh and for its recyclability.
Recyclable pouches is our new convenience packaging, for those looking to save on shipping or more easily pack our products for travel.
Note many companies use compostable pouches, but the vast majority of these only degrade to microplastics. We have intentionally chosen plastic no 4 as it can be recycled in facilities in our area.

By cup (quick method): add 1/2 tsp of spice to 1 cup of milk &/or water, then heat to near boiling. Sweeten to taste and whisk. Spices will settle. For caffeine add black tea or coffee.
For hot drinks:
We like 1/4 cup boiling water from the kettle, 1/4 tsp honey, and with 3/4 cup oat milk heated in a sauce pan or milk frother.
For iced drink:
We like 1/8 cup boiling water from the kettle, 1/4 tsp honey, ice, and the rest cold oat milk. Note, if you are a spice queen, you might want to add a bit more to the boiling water to overpower the cold.
In a pot (traditional method): briefly simmer 1/2 tsp spices in 1/4 cup water and whisk. Add 3/4 cup milk of choice and heat to drinking temperature. Sweeten to taste and whisk before serving. No need to strain out the spices, they sill settle in the pot and/or cups.
For caffeine: add a black tea bag during the infusion process, or sub water component with coffee for a modern take known as a dirty chai.

Cardamom
The third most expensive spice in the world. It grows low to the ground, making it susceptible to rot and pests, and it has to be harvested by hand.

Ceylon Cinnamon
Ceylon is referred to as true cinnamon because Sri Lanka (formerly named Ceylon) is the birthplace of the spice. Ceylon is actually the bark of a tree, that must be processed by hand, and it drying in the sun is what causes this curly shape.
